Nuke trouble

It's called the landmark deal in Indian nuclear history, and it sure is. But is it time to celebrate ??? That's something that will have as many views as there are drops of water in an ocean. The deal is very simple. India opens up 14 of its 22 reactors to IAEA "safegaurds" , U S inturn ensures India gets uninterrupted supply of uranium. U S is saying heads I win, tails you lose. The IAEA like most of the world "organisations" can be taken synonymously with U S. What that means is nearly 70% of India's nuclear power will be monitored by U S and all the India's nuclear energy will be produced by uranium supplied by it. Indirectly U S would practically be controlling India's nuclear interests!!! What's more? What's U S trying to do here? The only real threat to U S militarily are nuclear weapons. The recent campaign by it is a clear indication of trying to get rid of the same. First came Iran where a democratically elected government's willingness to harness its nuclear energy was declared a threat to world peace. It won't take much time to turn Iran into another Iraq. What if India had not agreed to seal the deal ? Would it have suffered the same fate as Iraq? Many might argue India is totally different from Iran, but for US is it really ???
